The Journal of Nuclear and Radiochemical Sciences is the international
journal issued by the Japan Society of Nuclear and Radiochemical Sciences.
The Journal covers all aspects of nuclear and radiochemistry and their
related fields. All colleagues are invited to submit their scientific achievement
to the Journal.
Several categories of papers are open to submission.
-
Articles: original works on any subject in nuclear and radiochemistry and their
related fields in full detail.
-
Notes: short communication including valuable information contributing to the
progress of the fields.
-
Accounts: original papers including new aspects in the specific fields based on
the cumulative results presented in the series of the author's papers (and
the unpublished results, if necessary).
-
Reviews: general survey of a subject in nuclear and radiochemistry or their related
fields.
If authors wish to submit a manuscript as a Review or Account paper, it
is requested to consult the Editorial Board of the Journal prior to submission.
This would help to avoid unnecessary overlap among the subjects in Reviews
and Accounts.
All manuscripts will be subjected to the usual stringent refereeing process.
For more information about the Japan Society of Nuclear and Radiochemical
Sciences, please see http://www.radiochem.org/.
The instructions for submission are given in the following sections.
1. Important Notice to Authors
-
Unnecessary duplication of publication should be avoided. It is prohibited
to submit the manuscript which is submitted to any other journal, or vise
versa.
-
Any change of authorship is not accepted after submission.
-
If the paper includes figures or illustrations presented in other journals,
permission of the use of the copies should be taken from the copyright
holder.
2. Preparation of Manuscript
-
Arrangement
Each manuscript should be arranged in the following order:
(1) title of paper,
(2) name(s) of author(s) with a mark to the corresponding author whose
e-mail address and fax number are indicated,
(3) affiliation(s),
(4) abstract,
(5) text,
(6) references,
(7) tables,
(8) figures (each figure should be printed on a separate page),
(9) figure captions
-
Printing and Maximum Length
Manuscripts should be double-spaced printed (or type-written) with 12pt
font size for text within about 25 lines of 65 strokes per line on one
side of A4 or US letter-sized paper.
There is no limitation on the length of manuscripts for Reviews and Accounts. If manuscripts are prepared as noted in the above instruction, 24 pages
and 12 pages including tables, figures, and illustrations are the utmost
limit for Articles and Notes, respectively. This results in approximately 6 printing pages for Articles and 3 printing pages for Notes.
-
Citations
References are cited by superscript numbers in text, tables, figures, etc.,
like …reported.1, …used1-3,6, and are numbered consecutively throughout the paper. When cited on the
line, they are written as ``in Reference 1'', ``in References 1-3'', etc.
Tables and figures are cited in text by saying ``Table 1'', ``Figure 1'',
``Figures 1 and 2'', etc. Equations are cited in the text by saying ``eq
1'', ``eqs 2 and 3'', etc., and spelled out like ``Equation 1…" when
they are the first word of a sentence. Sections are cited in the text as
``sect. 3.2.''
-
Figures
It is highly recommended to prepare figures in an electronic form. Each
figure is prepared as a separate postscript (ps or eps) file. Some electronic
files other than postscript files may be acceptable and they are submitted
together with one set of good quality printed figures. Color figures cannot
be accepted.
-
Unit
In preparation of figures, it is recommended to use notification like ``physical
quantity/unit'' instead of ``physical quantity(unit)''. ex. Time/min.

3. Submission of Manuscripts
One original copy and two photocopies of the manuscripts are sent to the

together with their electronic forms either by e-mail or on a floppy disk.
-
Proof reading by authors is carried out once before publication.
-
Before printing of the assigned issue of the Journal, the accepted papers
are open to public on the Web page of the Society.
5. Miscellaneous

Errata may appear, if the author requests corrections within 6 months after publication
of the original work.
-
Twenty-five reprints are available for each publication with free of charge.
-
No page charges are applied for publication.
-
Copyrights must be transferred to the Japan Society of Nuclear and Radiochemical
